As the lead designer, I worked closely with the CEO to redesign and optimize the Maywell Health website for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices while creating and maintaining the design system. This process included the following:
Due to the startup nature of the company, the process for this project was quite different than others and pretty straightforward. To get a better understanding of the website and the CEO's pain-points, I went through Maywell's website, page by page, taking notes on everything that stood out to me that I believed needed adjustment to create a better user experience. Upon completion, I presented my feedback to the team and got approved to revamp the website.
When I gained access to Maywell's Figma file, I noticed some key issues throughout the existing designs - poor organization, not utilizing auto-layout, and no design system. Because of this, I created a design system, structured the Figma file to be organized, and recreated every page while making appropriate UX changes and optimized them for the different breakpoints. Throughout the revamp, I'd update the VP of Operations, Jess, to talk through the changes, ask questions, and either iterate the designs or get them approved. I also designed new business cards for the Maywell Health staff using Vistaprint's standard dimensions as a reference.
